The Didim Peninsular is filled with hundreds of bars, cafes, discos and restaurants. There are weekly markets in both the town centres of Altinkum and Akbük and traditional shops, giving you the chance to experience real Turkish culture. If you are into sports then this area is great for you as there are many sports facilities including; surfing, jet skiing, diving, local fishing, beach volleyball, tennis and much more! Altinkum is close to both Bodrum and Izmir Airports and is within easy driving distance of a number of stunning sights including Bafa Lake and the Temple of Apollo. It is a bustling, energetic Turkish town.

The main beach in Altinkum (often referred to as First Beach) is a large bay of golden sand with incredibly shallow waters and therefore it is very popular. There are a more beaches, on the left-hand side and right side of the main beach. Water sports are plentiful here so there is always something to watch or in which to participate. With golden beaches shelving gently into the turquoise blue waters of the Aegean.

Altinkum receives a high number of repeat guests as well as being a sought after destination by holidaymakers. Dolphin Square and most of town has renovation. It looks superb with new town works. Supermarket chains such as Carrefour, Migros, Kipa, Bim, A101 and Şok; as well as McDonalds, Burger-King or KFC, are located along the main Didim to Altinkum road making it easy to self-cater and buy provisions. The Saturday Bazaar is also at the top end of the town also the old town of Didim and the ruins of the Temple of Apollo at Didim. Altinkum has developed into a lively destination with plenty to do both night and day which is why we have chosen accommodation to suit all tastes, both close to the centre and a little further back. The sights of Ephesus, Virgin Mary, Pamukkale, and Bodrum are additional attractions easily accessible from Altinkum… Not to be missed!
